From Pews to Pints: Experiencing Dublin's Iconic Church Bar
A treasure of Dublin, The Church Bar, a unique place that offers a unique experience in the city. A former church turned into lively social hub of drinks, food, music and dancing. The Church Bar is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience a great time in Dublin.
First built in the early 18th century, The Church was once known as St. Mary’s Church of Ireland. It was also the marriage place of Arthur Guinness, the founder of the world-famous brewery. Despite its deep roots in Dublin’s history, the church was deconsecrated in the 1960s and fell into disrepair. However, in the early 2000s, it was given a new lease on life when it was carefully restored and transformed into one of Dublin's most unique bars and restaurants.
One of the highlights of The Church Bar is the live entertainment. Traditional Irish music sessions and dancing fill the church with magical sounds.
